The Opportunity:

The Business Solution Architect will perform multiple roles within the organization. First, they will serve as the technical subject matter expert of our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), Interoperability Solution, and Analytic Platforms. They are responsible for developing a deep technical knowledge of the AlohaCare’s Business and Clinical Intelligence and Data Operating systems and support reporting, data analysis, and data sharing functions. Second, this position will help identify, define, prioritize, and execute projects in support of the Information Systems strategic plan. They will work with internal staff and external customers on various projects related to improving the use of data to drive clinical and business outcomes. Third, this position will focus improving the organizations data quality, metadata management, and master data management. The will work with our EDW vendor to develop best practices and automate data quality tasks, and provide a transparent view

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reports to the Senior Director of Business Support Services and communicates any important information about the EDW, Interoperability Solution, and Analytic Platforms to other employees in the Information Systems department.
  • Develops analytical solutions using in-house Analytical Platforms (i.e. QlikSense, QlikView, Power BI, etc.)
  • Assists in supporting our FHIR solutions.
  • Manages the day-to-day data processing tasks of our EDW
  • Ensures SDLC processes are followed during EDW, Interoperability Solution, and Analytic Platforms enhancements.
  • Supports the Business Solution Architect in efforts to improve data quality, metadata management, and master data management.
  • Work with the manager and staff of the business units involved to identify areas of improvement and execute process improvement projects that will automate manual processes that will meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Work in collaboration with the manager and staff of the business units involved to develop technical solutions for identified business problems.
  • Troubleshoot all process and system issues when they arise and work with the various staff members and vendors when necessary to resolve the problems in a timely manner.
  • Work with AlohaCare employees to help with any issues related to any external projects.
  • Responsible to maintain AlohaCare’s confidential information in accordance with AlohaCare policies, and state and federal laws, rules and regulations regarding confidentiality. Employees have access to AlohaCare data based on the data classification assigned to this job title.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned by the CIO or IT management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Engineering.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong Technical Project Management skills
  • Advanced and broad programming and data query skills
  • Hands-on experience developing Business Intelligence solutions and implementing data management processes
  • Advanced skills using Microsoft Programs; Word, Excel (Pivot Tables), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Requires operation of general office equipment to include; PC, fax/copy machine and ACD Mitel Phones.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to accept direction.
  • Must maintain a punctual and regular schedule.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Available for weekend or extra hours work during project implementation or whenever necessary to accomplish tasks.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2 years of Claims Processing system experience (i.e., QNXT)
  • 2 years of Care Management system experience (i.e., Guiding Care)
  • 2 years of healthcare industry experience
  • Previous experience with the QUEST/QI Medicaid and/or Medicare program.
  • Previous experience with setting up Data Governance in a small organization

Mental, Physical and Environmental Demands:

  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Salary Range: $62,000 - $83,000 annually
